Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay in the central highlands, I had the pleasure of immersing myself in a historical experience that seamlessly blended traditional charm with modern convenience. Each colonial cottage, such as the Gingerbread Cottage and the Old Bakehouse, is adorned with period furniture that transports you back to a bygone era while ensuring comfort. The beautifully manicured White Garden, designed in classic cottage style with old oaks planted in 1838, served as an inviting backdrop for leisurely strolls. The fully equipped kitchens made meal preparation easy, and the staff were accommodating with dietary requests, ensuring a pleasant culinary experience. The tranquil atmosphere, punctuated by the surrounding colonial homes and delightful local attractions, provided a perfect escape. I wholeheartedly recommend this charming retreat for those seeking a unique and enriching getaway amidst the lush landscapes of Sri Lanka's tea country.
